Abstract
As part of the CORAC technological roadmap, the TURBOLAB project investigates design and modelling of hybrid turboprop systems. The integration of electric engine and gearbox on shaft line is not an easy task. Both are sources of dynamic loads, which must be fully apprehended to ensure shaft line integrity. As part of the development of numerical modelling methodology, a test rig is designed to replicate physical phenomena in a controlled environment. The shaft line 1st torsion mode is set at 42.5Hz. This demonstrator features a wide instrumentation to compose an experimental database of reference for next project tasks. Several test results are shared in this paper. Electric engine force harmonics are identified and quantified. The unbalanced magnetic pull is measured for several working points. The static and dynamic transmission errors from the gearbox are extracted and show how both gear mesh and electromagnetic torque ripple contribute to the transmission error.
