Abstract

Vectored thrust eVTOL are susceptible to attitude instability and even trajectory deviation during takeoff/landing phases under crosswind conditions. This paper focuses on the crosswind resistance capability of vectored thrust eVTOL. Firstly, a coupled simulation model of flight dynamics and control law for vectored thrust eVTOL and a wind field model are established. Then, based on ADS-33, an evaluation method for the crosswind resistance capability of eVTOL was established. The parameters such as rotor speed, climb rate and approach strategies were analyzed. Finally, the simulation results show that increasing the rotor speed during takeoff and landing, lower climb rate, wing-down approach strategy can enhance the crosswind resistance capability.
