dc.description.abstract | Airbus took the opportunity to bring its expertise to the Urban Air Mobility adventure and launched CityAirbus in 2017. This twin-quadcopter of 2.3 tons was designed as a demonstrator to explore the challenges of a full scale remotely piloted electric vehicle. After a short technical description, this article focuses on the main aspects of the safety process followed throughout the project and points out the main lessons learnt regarding the remotely piloted flight test campaign. | |
